He was predeceased by: his wife Dana Dale; his parents, Luther Whitson and Nell Whitson; and his siblings, Don, Mary, Margaret and Jerry Whitson.
He is survived by: his grandsons, Tanner (Ashley Whitson), Dustin Whitson, Carter (Katie Whitson), Derek (Ursula Whitson) and Blake Whitson; and his great grandchildren, McKenlee, Jordan, Landry and Kennedy.
