He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Al Nichols Mays and Ruby Rose Mays (Taylor); his wife Barbara June Whitmire; his children, Clay, Andy Mays and Mary S. Aynest; his grandchildren, Jimmie Perry (Keshia) of Tushka, OK and Jossie Maxey (Randy) of Atoka, OK; his great grandchildren, Jemma Maxey, Joshua Maxey and Rieder Perry of Atoka, OK; his brothers, James Mays (Aleta) and Kearl Mays (Linda) of Weir, Kansas; and his siblings-in-law, Carolyn Knight, Doris Taylor, Trudy Lomas (Mealleo) of Roff, OK and Wade Whitmire (Carla).
