He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Avery and Gladys Mildred Coffey (Benson); his wife Linda Coffey (Slape); and his brothers, Lonnie and Gene Coffey.
He is survived by: his children, Duane Coffey of Canton, OK and Melinda Schoonmaker (James) of Longdale, OK; his grandchildren, Justin Schoonmaker (Noemi) of Canton, OK, Shania Wood (Mack) and Amanda Schoonmaker of Longdale, OK; his great grandchild Emily Schoonmaker of Canton, OK; and his sister Trilla Belyue (Jesse) of North Plains, OR.
Memorials may be made to the Canton Firefighters Association, the First Baptist Church of Canton and to the Cimarron Blackpowder Muzzleloaders with the funeral home serving as custodian at P.O. Box 36, Canton, OK 73724.
