He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Marion Cavett and Ramona Cavett (Overstreet); his children, Charlie Cavett (Gail), Donita Villarama, William Paul Cavett (Martha), Suzanne Jantz (Shane) and Joshua Lee Cavett; his brothers, Danny Cavett (Jeanie) and Larry Cavett (Sue); and his grandchildren, Emmanuel Paul Kliewer, Asia Kliewer, Mariah Rosalynna Cavett, Kent Ramon Cavett, Joshua Paul Villarama and Liam Talens Cavett.
