It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Helen Grigsby of Checotah, Oklahoma, who passed away on July 11, 2020, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Dewey Thomas and Linda Thomas (Beck); her husband L. J. Grigsby; her siblings, J. T. Thomas (Irleen), J. C. Thomas, J. D. Thomas (Dean), Ruth MyDell Grigsby (Guy), Doris Turpin (Melvin) and Anna Lou Wade; and her siblings-in-law, Harold Grigsby, Hollis Grigby, Leon Grigsby, Evelyn Rae, Nora Padgett, Bernice Edwards and Inez Moore.
She is survived by: her children, Dewey Lee Grigsby (Brinda) of Muskogee, OK and Pamela Sue Jennings (Larry) of Checotah, OK; her sister Joyce Ingram of Brawley, CA; her sisters-in-law, Geraldine Thomas of Canadian, OK, Lois Thomas of Talihina, OK, Wanda Grigsby and Louetta Grigsby; her grandchildren, Misty, Chad Choat, Dusti, Jay Calavan, Cody, Jenny Jennings and Michael Merkins of Germany; and her great grandchildren, Shelby, Carson, Morgan, Conner, Edison, Ellory, Daniel and Jan. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
