She was predeceased by: her parents, Lloyd Tounwin and Bessie Tounwin (Williams); her husband John Simpson; her son Mark Simpson; her siblings, Winifred Tounwin, Lou Ella Tounwin, Melvina Stevens, Vivian Proctor, Milton Tounwin, Nathan Brown and Melvin Tounwin; and her great grandchildren, Raelynn and Brynlee Stanton.
She is survived by: her children, Anita Simpson, Shawnna Rainbolt (Bobby) and Jonathan Simpson; her grandchildren, Courtney Stanton (Micky), Cheyenne Simpson (Keith), Hailey Simpson, Clint Andrews and Chance Rainbolt; and her great grandchildren, Micky Stanton III, Alea Mattison, Ava Mattison and Keith Mattison III.
