He was predeceased by: his parents, Lucien Hurst and Flora Hurst (Shankle); his brothers, Bub Hurst and Edward Hurst; his children, Ranson Hurst, Randon Hurst and Rachel Hurst; and the mother of his children Carolyn Rizzo Hurst.
He is survived by: his wife Kathryn Keener; his children, Reverend Ronnie Travis Hurst (Lynsey) of Shawnee, Raquel Matheson of Ft. Smith, AR, Ronell Talley of Shawnee, Nicole Woods of Checotah, Erica Woods (Viola) of Checotah and Jason Woods (Rachel) of St. Louis, MO.; and his siblings, Reverend Lonnie Hurst (Linda), Judy Smith of Tecumseh and Shirley Scott of Tecumseh. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other extended family and a lifetime of friends.
