She was predeceased by : her parents, Homer Oscar and Ethel Viola Shaw (Wilcox); her husband Edward Claypool; her son Homer Smith; and her siblings, Roberta Walker, Paul, Leon, Emmett, Phillip and Mark Shaw.

She is survived by : her son Eddie Claypool (Peggie) of Chouteau; her grandchildren, Dell Ann Upp (Kelly) of Ottawa, Jennifer H. Melton (Zarek) of Mt. Holly, Edward A. Smith of Orlando and Patricia L. Broome (Phillipe) of Sykesville, Maryland; her great grandchildren, Rebecca Ann Upp and Harper Broome; and her sister Patsy Rowe of Alma. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
