He was predeceased by: his father Louis Franklin; his siblings, Samuel Steel, Franklin Smith, Jr., Lena Allen, Sylvia Lowther and Faye Rogers; his niece Jody Hopewell; his nephew Louis Smith, III; and his mother Katherine Smith (Williamson).
He is survived by: his nieces, Rhonda Wade (Mike) of Sperry, Kathy Lovvorn (Monte) of Skiatook, Debbie McFarland (Allen) of Kilgore, TX, Kay Smith (Tony) of Kilgore, TX, Joyce Olson (Chris) of Kilgore, TX and Beckee Fitzgerald (Todd) of Redland, CA. He is also survived by great nieces, great-nephews and cousins; and many other relatives and friends.
