He was predeceased by: his parents, T. E. Swopes and Mable Swopes (Selby); his wife Martha Jane Purcell; and his brother Frailey Swopes. He is survived by: his children, Alana Atkins (Bud), Debby Ihrig (Mark), Randy Swopes (Geri) and Danny Swopes (Cindy); and his sister Sylvia Norman (Wayne). He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren 11 great great grandchildren.
