He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Ralph Simpson and Glenda Simpson; his wife Victoria Simpson; his children, Miranda, Lance Byford of Bixby, OK, Gerrit, Jody Simpson of Claremore, Curt and Chelsea Simpson of Claremore; his grandchildren, Christian, Caleb, Faith, Hope Byford, Xander Glover, Brooklyn, Bradley, Corbin, Cashton and Carley Simpson; his brothers, Danny Simpson (Linda) and Larry Simpson (Vonda); and his mother-in-law Kay Swearingen. He was also cherished by other relatives and friends.
