He was predeceased by: his parents, Leon Yates and Elaine Yates; his brother Mike Yates; and his grandson Abram Lewis. He is survived by: his wife Ellen Ivon Kizer of Claremore; his child Chris Yates (Vanessa); his grandchildren, Brandon Barnes, Dustin Barnes and Racheal Barnes; his great grandchildren, Alexis, Braxton Newman and Ava Usry; his brother Mark Yates; and his pet Banjo.
