With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Margaret Mae Sumter (Claremore, Oklahoma), born in Pryor, Oklahoma, who passed away on September 11, 2021 at the age of 74. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Wayne Newton and Hazel Newton (Roberts); her husband Kenneth Sumter; and her brother Mack Newton. She is survived by: her sister Carol Carter (Gerald Carter) of Catoosa, Oklahoma.. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews and close friends.

The family has asked for friends to wear masks and when entering the funeral home for visitation and the funeral service.
