He was predeceased by: his parents, Calvin Monroe and Gladys McGrew (Chambers); his wife Goldie; and his siblings, Betty Jo Maloney, Velma Jones, Fern Cole, Lloyd McGrew, Isaac "Ike" McGrew, Bob McGrew, Leona McGrew and Calvin.
He is survived by: his sons, Charles M. McGrew, Jr of Cleveland, Nathan McGrew (Joann) of Cleveland, Israel McGrew (Jennifer) of Jenks and Joshua McGrew (Stephanie) of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and his sisters-in-law, Paula Garcia of Cleveland and Alice Wilkins of Cleveland, Oklahoma. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren as well as numerous other friends and relatives.
