He was predeceased by: his grandmother Vera Copeland; and his father Lanny Jones. He is survived by: his mother Eudora Jean Copeland-Lawson; his sons, Chad (Allison Jones) of Oklahoma City and Rusty (Dani Jones) of Marlow; his grandchildren, Crew Jones, Jase Jones and Kolby Jones; his sisters, Necia Russell of Duncan and Tammy (Brent Armor) of Duncan; and his siblings' children, Micah Russell, JJ Russell, Julie Pennypacker, Chance Armor and Kaitlyn Green.
