She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard Kenneth Best and Dortha Reynolds Best; her husband Loyd William Dodson; and her siblings, Glen Best, John Kenneth Best, Verlon Williams and Thelma Sawyer.
She is survived by: her sister Rosalee Tidwell of Comanche; her children, Jerry Don Boydston of Longview and Diann Roberts of Duncan; her grandchildren, Leah Nichole Clements of Lubbock and Stephen Ray Parton of White Oak, Texas.; and her cousin Beverly Grigsby. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
