He was predeceased by: his parents, Frances Lee (Riney) and Jesse K. McMasters. He is survived by: his wife Minnie Lou Perkins; his children, Bobby Lowell (Evelyn), Kathy Ann Hume (Dirk) and David Wayne (Jeannine); his grandchildren, Jesse (Amanda), Jonathan (Tish), Joshua (Robin), Joseph McMasters (Janna), Candace, Grant Hume, Christopher, Andrew, Heather McMasters, Rob and Mandi King; and his sister Gracalee Johns of Duncan. He is also survived by eight great grandchildren.
