He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Grady and Mattie Cornelia Gay (Waldrep); his former wife Jo Anne; his daughter Deborah Anne Parks; his great grandchild Luke Gay; his brothers, Alvin Grady Gay and Charles Wallace Gay; and his sisters-in-law, Murldean Gay and Willa Mae Thomas.
He is survived by: his wife Jerri; his sons, Larry Roland (Suzie Gay) and Robert Grady (Janet Gay); his stepson Joe Bob Henley, Jr.; and his siblings-in-law, Joe S. Wall, Shirley Gay and Faye Hobson. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 3 step grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren; 1 great great granddaughter.
