He was predeceased by: his father Walter Lewis Herrin, Sr.; his wife Carolyn; his children, Richard Keith and Patricia Susan Newman; his mother Genevieve Herrin; and his brother Richard Herrin.
He is survived by: his children, Tom Herrin (Alexia) of Lindsay and Nancy Hemphill (Mahlon) of Duncan; his son-in-law Bob Newman of Oklahoma City; his grandchildren, Jennifer Postlethwaite (Jeff) of Edmond, Dr. Brian Herrin (Livvy Jones) of Manhattan, Dr. Michael Hemphill (Emily) of Duncan, Jeffery Hemphill (Ginny Ann) of Oklahoma City, Lydia Guzman (Sal) of Garland and Robert Newman (Aimee) of Oklahoma City; his great grandchildren, Eva Jane Postlethwaite, Hank Hemphill, Pierce Hemphill, Sarah Carolyn Hemphill, Benjamin Hemphill, Allyson Guzman, Nikki Newman and Joshua Newman; his siblings, Charles Herrin of Birmingham, Alabama and Joann (Bill Smith) of Richardson, Texas; and his cousins, Frank and Terry Presson.
