He was predeceased by: his parents, Lora Lee Thornton (Davis) and Lewis O. Thornton; and his brother Bob Thornton. He is survived by: his grandsons, Dr. Landon McNeely, Steven Thornton, Jr., Brian Thornton-Stover, Jr., Jesse Thornton, Carl Thornton and Zac Brown; his wife Glenda W. Sparks; his children, Steven Ray Thornton (Ann) of Clarendon, Brian Thornton (Amy) of Wilburton, Janet McNeely of Pampa, Texas and Stephanie Quaid (Jeff) of Moore; his sisters, Deanne Trollinger (Larry) of Louisville and Mary Ellis (Lyndle) of Tulsa; his sister-in-law Linda Maupin-Thornton of Enid; and his friends, Ray and Dixie Mobley. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
