He was predeceased by: his parents, John Preston Sansom and Ora Elizabeth Sansom; his wife Anne Sansom; his sister Charlotte Tafoya; and his siblings-in-law, Choc Eddlemon, Brass Eddlemon, Bill Eddlemon, Jerry Atkerson, Barbara McBride, Nancy Linker, Doris "Teenie" Lang and Beth Sansom.
He is survived by: his daughters, Melissa (Ben Colvin), Michelle (Nick Morrison) and Jennifer (Mike Mullikin); his grandchildren, Jake Bowen (Macy), Josh Colvin, Spencer Tinnin, Lilly Mullikin and Madison Mullikin; his great grandchild Jace Bowen; his brothers, Doyle Sansom of Las Vegas, Nevada and Harold Simpson (Nancy) of San Diego, California; and his siblings-in-law, Paul Eddlemon (Margaret) of Kingsbury, Texas, Virgil McBride of Ponca City and Jane Eddlemon of Talihina. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
