He was predeceased by: his mother Mattie Britton (Carrol); his former wife Anna Leta Rogers; his wife Etta Mae Smulligan; his father Dewey Britton; his daughter Jo Ann Steffes; and his grandson David Kendall Browning.
He is survived by: his daughter Linda Browning (Ronnie) of Canute, Oklahoma; his grandsons, Bryan Steffes (Sarah) of Tulsa and Mark Browning of Canute, Oklahoma; his great grandchildren, Conner Funk and Donovan Funk of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; his great great grandchild Celeina Browning of Mustang, Oklahoma; his sister-in-law Joy Rogers of Canute, Oklahoma; his stepchildren, Phaon, Brenda Maurey, Alan and Lynn Lowder; his close friend Shirley Carlson; and also Michelle Funk of Tulsa, Oklahoma.
