He was predeceased by: his parents, Loren Vernon and Dorothea Louise Cowherd; and his stepson Ryan Beason. He is survived by: his siblings, Sue Poole (Edward) of Elk City, Dye-Anna Bell Chadrick (Lee) of Hobart, Cara Lee Salazar of Hobart and Torrance Harland Cowherd of Elk City; his stepsons, Brad Beeson and Travis Beeson; and his close friends, Victoria Zavala, Melissa Whitlow and Cassandra Green.
