He was predeceased by: his former wife Betty Lucille Stern (Maddox); his son David Stern; and his former wife Emma Stern (Head). He is survived by: his children, Shelley Eisenbraun (Jerry) and Kelley Ross (Todd); and his grandchildren, Luke Eisenbraun (Tiffany), Rachel Eisenbraun, Shea Ross and Logan Ross.

The family has requested in lieu of flowers memorials may be made to a veteran's organization.
