She was loved and cherished by many people including: her brother Donald C. Drechsler; her husband Bernard Mena of Enid; her children, Tony Mena of Stillwater and Dana Johnson (Ron) of Ft. Smith, Arkansas; her grandchildren, Andrea Johnson and Ethan Johnson; and her siblings, Gene Drechsler (Dodie) of Magnum, Robert Drechsler (Ireta) of Wichita, Kansas and Ellen Schuermann (Roy) of Pond Creek. She was also cherished by numerous nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.

Memorials in Nellie's name may be made to Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation Alzheimer's Division or Ross Hospice with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
