He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Agnes Bateman and Floyd Bateman; his former wife Patricia Compton; his daughter Candy Bateman; his former wife Peggy Lampkin; his children, David, Eddie and Jeanie Bateman; his wife Kathleen Compton; and his grandchildren, Levi Eidson, Jonathan, Brittany, Christopher Bateman, Hannah, Matthew, Alex Bateman, Michael, Cameron and Aidan Lazono. He was also cherished by five great grandchildren.
