He was predeceased by : his siblings, Claude Scammahorn and Donna Wainscott of Lawton; and his parents, Clyde Scammahorn and Merle Scammahorn of Apache. He is survived by : his former life partner Joyce Sechrist of Apache; his child Monte; his wife Cheryl Scammahorn of Lawton; his stepchildren, Eddie Adams (Michelle) of Lawton and Blakley Kincanon (Bobby) of Amarillo, TX; his brothers, Gary Scammahorn (Lana) of Apache and Eugene Scammahorn (Sherry) of Plano, TX; his daughter Jodi Springer (David); and his grandchildren, Micah Birch, BJ Birch, Jordan Birch, Ethan Springer, Jake Springer, Avery Scammahorn and Sadie Hollebeke.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Boys Ranch in Amarillo, Historical Society in Apache, and Falls Creek Youth Camp.
