He was predeceased by : his parents, Richard B. and Elvia Hernandez Sr. (Ramirez); and his sister Anita Gardener. He is survived by : his siblings, Richard R. Hernandez Jr. (Araceli) of Frederick and Lucy Gomez of Grandfield; his nieces, Nora, Martha, April, Viviana, Jade and Jaci; and his great-nephew Easton.
