It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Deann D. Gist of Haskell, Oklahoma, who passed away on October 17, 2021, at the age of 52, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Rosetta Gist and LeArtis Harris; her grandparents, Bennie, Mary Jane Gist and Ollie Carson; her sister Josephine Oliver; and her brothers-in-law, James Durant Jr. and Earnest Houston.
She is survived by: her siblings, Carolyn Houston, Letta Harris of Haskell, OK, Selina Durant, Angela Harris of Tulsa, OK, Carnita Oliver of Oklahoma City, OK, Joseph Oliver of Summit, OK and Michael Akien of Muskogee, OK; and her aunts, Lizzie Metcalf (Peggy Gist) of Spencer, OK, Patricia Gist (John) of Tulsa, OK, Arlene Melenciano of Albuquerque, NM and Mary Carson (Barbara Jackson). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
