James Barnes Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Barnes of Roosevelt, Oklahoma, who passed away on May 13, 2026 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Jefferson Barnes and Helen Barnes; his wife Betty Barnes; and his son Kenny Roach. He is survived by: his children, Bobby Roach of Roosevelt, OK, Phyllis Krehbiel (Justin) of Roosevelt, OK, Anna Everhart (Joe) of Olustee, OK, James Barnes (Kelby) of Owasso, OK and Kendra Barnes of Roosevelt, OK; and his siblings, George Barnes of Hobart, OK, Ray Barnes of Hobart, OK, Tom Barnes, Carl Barnes, Roy Lee Barnes, William Barnes, Robert Eugene "Goober" Barnes, Mildred Crow, Edith Walker, Helen Iverson and Faye Barnes. He is also survived by 17 Grandchildren, 13 Great Grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 16th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Sunday, May 17th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Monday, May 18th 2026 at 2:00 PM.
