It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Billy Joe Spain (Konawa, Oklahoma), born in Claremore, Oklahoma, who passed away on July 16, 2021, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Reverend Joe and Viola Spain; and his brother Barney Lee Spain. He is survived by : his wife Cynthia Spain; his brothers, Wayne Shaw of Konawa and Emman Spain (Shot) of Vamoosa; his children, Billy Joe Spain Jr. of Ponca City, Fred Lowe Jr. of Holdenville, Michael Lee Spain of Purcell, Lucretia Rivers of Holdenville, Shannon Spain of Ardmore and Tonya Spain of Tulsa; and his granddaughters, Savannah Spain, Cari Spain, Autumn Bruner, Chelsea Spain and Jaslynn Harjo. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren and a whole host of nieces and nephews and cousins.
