He was predeceased by : his parents, Peter Wiens and Hulda Ensz Wiens; and his stepdaughter Cyndi Wedel. He is survived by : his former life partner Elnora Waldron; his wife JaNet Rowe of Lahoma; his sons, Bert (Sandra) of Lahoma, Michael "Mike" (Lea) of Richland Hills and Lee of Ramah; his stepchildren, Earlene Gardner, Dean Rowe (Linda) and Yolanda Rowe; and his stepson-in-law David Wedel. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers Don's family requests donations be made to the VFW through the funeral home.
