He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Lemuel Sr. Apala and Addie Apala (Cox); his siblings, Lemuel Jr., Mildred English, Lawana Apala and Gayle Benton; his sons, Danny (Darlene) and Brett (Carole); his wife Loise Thomas; and his stepchildren, Rick, Hunt and Kim. He was also cherished by his children and their spouses; ten grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
