He was loved and cherished by many people including: his mother Velma Lorene McElroy; his wife Lawanda Kay Box; his children, Rita (Larry Scroggins), Michael (Sandy Box), Matthew (Jennifer Box) and Richard Box of Tannehill, OK; and his sister Elaine McElroy. He was also cherished by twelve grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; brothers.
