She was predeceased by: her father Eddie Lake; her husband Kenneth Charles Burns; her mother Nellie Strain (Smith); her daughter Cheri Oxford; and her brother Leon Strain.
She is survived by: her children, JoAnn Oxford, Cindy Keith (Lee) and Bobby Joe Oxford, Jr. (Carla); her siblings, Barbara Corbitt, Delvina Padgett (Jimmy), Debbie Smith, Kay Bruce (Ted) and H. B. Smith (Tina); her grandchildren, Vanessa Cole, Chad Allan Smith (Holly), Charley Smith (Beverly), Brent Haynie, Sarah Morris (Ronnie), Eli Keith, Madison Keith, Katelyn Oxford, Cheyanne Oxford and Makayla Oxford; her great grandchildren, Vanna, Trenton, Roslyn, Braesen, Kason, Rhaelyn, Zane and Jayten; and her great great grandchildren, Lilah and Ivy. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family and friends.
Viewing was held on Monday, May 26th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Bishop Chapel of Memories (110 S 3rd St, McAlester, OK 74501). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, May 27th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
