He was predeceased by: his parents, Jess Stokes and Nancy Stokes; his siblings, Clyde Stokes, Carl Stokes and LaVern Aldridge; and his son-in-law Vern Harris.
He is survived by: his wife Madlyn V. Epps; his daughters, Kay Stokes Harris of Sherman, Texas and Lana Stokes of Albuquerque; his grandson Chad Harris (Daria); his great grandchildren, Daniel, Hope and David; his grandson Brent Harris (Tiffani) of Waco; his great grandchildren, Hannah, Emma and Drew; his sister Eupal Harmon of Mansfield, Texas; and his sister-in-law Lucille Stokes of Purcell, Oklahoma.
