He was predeceased by: his parents, Condido Echelle and Margaret Echelle (Nena); and his brothers, John Echelle and James Echelle. He is survived by: his wife Fern Echelle; his children, Michael Echelle, Caroline of McAlester, Donna Echelle McGee, Ronnie of Wilburton, Jimmy Echelle and Rita of Stigler; his grandchildren, Joe Echelle (Lacey), Andrew McGee of Wilburton, Ryan Echelle (Shannon), Kristen Ramsey (Jason), Lauren McGee of Ardmore, Sarah Savage (John) and Nina Higgins (Ethan); his great grandchildren, Lane Hass, Grant Echelle, Taryn Echelle and Ava Ramsey; his brother Condido Echelle, Jr.; and his sisters-in-law, Janie of Ashland, Milda Echelle and Essie Cartlidge. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

The family requests, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to Hospice of McAlester.
