It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elsie Smith (McAlester, Oklahoma), who passed away on January 26, 2022, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Thomas and Jewell Whitworth (Merideth); her children, Melva Jean Smith and Merle Thomas Smith; and her brother J. T. Whitworth.
She is survived by: her husband Melvin Merle Smith; her daughter Pamela Kay Tucker of High Hill; her grandsons, Chris Smith (Tiffany) of Jenks, Will Tucker (Rachel) of Bixby and Cody Smith of Sapulpa; her great grandchildren, Carrington Smith, Jaxon Smith, Nolan Harvey Tucker and Karson Smith; and her sister Carol Petricek (Dick) of Skiatook. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.
