With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Florence Van Horn of McAlester, Oklahoma, who passed away on December 29, 2021 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfred Spurgeon and Anna Spurgeon (Hoedebeck); her stepmother Nina Spurgeon (Poage); her brother Carter Spurgeon; her daughter Jennifer Van Horn; and her grandson Anthony Barrett.
She is survived by: her husband Ben Van Horn; her children, Bryan Van Horn (Holly) of Washington, Rebecca Barrett (Jack) of California and Shirley Gale (Doug) of California; her grandchildren, Christopher Barrett (Jennifer), Kimberly Jeffries, Kevin Barrett, Kelly Barrett, Sebastian Van Horn (Mary) and Tamzen Van Horn; her great grandchildren, Aden, Joshua, Abigail and Everly; and her brothers, Christopher Spurgeon (Michelle), Joseph Spurgeon (Mary Lou), Richard Spurgeon and Allen Spurgeon. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and her church family.
