He was predeceased by: his father David Paul Shappell; his grandfather Leon O'Dell; his stepfather Rick Falis; his uncle Danny O'Dell; and his cousin Amaya Drake.
He is survived by: his mother Anita Louise Falis-Montgomery (Huber); his stepfather Ken Montgomery; his siblings, Destanie Burgett, Gary "Shorty" Patterson, Jr., Walter "Jimmy" Patterson and Henry Snow; and his grandmother Lilian O'Dell.
