He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Lumir Kobes and Agnes Kobes (Belohlavy); his sister Jenny Long Snider of McAlester; his siblings' children, Cathy Tadlock, Gene Long (Linda), Edie Smith (Doyle), Larry Long (Delina), Steve Long (Cindi) of Broken Arrow and Randy Long (Candis) of Fulton, Illinois; his brother Allen (Shirley); his nieces, Annette and Lisa; his sister Faye Phillips; his siblings' children, Christy Walbridge, Rick Phillips and Cindy Marshalek; and his sister Vicky Kobes.
