She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfred Payne and Elzora Payne; her husband Melvin C. Jennings; her daughter Barbara Jennings; and her siblings, Charlie Payne, Leona, Garnet, Elsie, Wilma and Rogene.
She is survived by: her children, Paul Jennings (Patty) of Bakersfield, California and Cathy Hulsey (Jim) of Henderson, Nevada. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous other family members and friends.
