He was predeceased by: his parent Earlene Pitts (Rowell); his stepfather Melvin Pitts; his siblings, Jim Dobson and Mary Lou Whorton; and his stepsister Wanda Waldron.
He is survived by: his wife Wanda Dobson (Haws); his daughters, Chris (Patrick Tinker) and Angela Dobson (Cheryll Darneal) of Oklahoma City, OK; his grandchildren, Jimmy (Morgan Wilson), Katie Wilson, Erin Dobson-Keahbone (Joshua Keahbone), Alexandra Darneal, Makayla Darneal, Zachary Darneal Summer and Dalton Barone (Jacob McGuire); his great grandchildren, Jasmine Keahbone, Bianca Keahbone, Cashlyn Rae, Amelia Brooks, Ezra Keahbone and Axel Wilson; and his brothers, Wayne Pitts, Walter Pitts and Junior Pitts. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
