It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Vernon Gray of McAlester, Oklahoma, who passed away on June 1, 2021, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his mothers, Lena E. Gray (Smith) and Alma Gray; his son David Gray; and his siblings, Marvin Gray, Harold Gray, Gladys Scott, Lillian Kreimeier and Louise Tackett.
He is survived by: his wife Susan Elaine Day; his daughters, Heidi Ables (Steven) of Broken Arrow and Melissa McClellan (Jared) of Bristow Point; his daughter-in-law Elizabeth Gray of Mississippi; his grandchildren, Luke Pipes, Henry Arroyo, Larissa Haws (Dan), Manuel Arroyo, Morris Tilford and Miranda Moore (Shane); his great grandchildren, James Arroyo, Jasmine Arroyo, Daniel Eugene Haws, IV, Lola Haws, Aaron Moore, Noah Moore and Abel Moore; and his siblings, Gerald Gray, Samuel Gray and Shirley. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.
