He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Lawson and Caldonia Lawson (Billins); his wife Leona Lawson (Wallis); his siblings, Fred Lawson and Charlotte Dickinson (Lawson); and his siblings-in-law, Don Thomas, Tony Wallis and Linda Payne.
He is survived by: his children, Don Lawson (Tracy) of Harrison, Arkansas and Rosaetta Hodges (Steve) of Canadian; his grandchildren, Rebekah Everhart (Richard) of Moberly, Jeremy Lawson (Christy) of Harrison, Benjamin Holland (Sarah) of Ottawa, John Holland, Jr. (Victoria) of Edmond, Bradley Holland (Amanda) of Fort Gibson and Keely Long (Chris Long) of Ozark, Arkansas.; his brother Bill Lawson (Carolyn) of Canadian; and his siblings-in-law, Linda Lawson of Indianola, Joyce Wallis of McAlester, Shirley Blevins of McAlester and Vernon Dickinson of Harrah, Oklahoma.. He is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren.
