He was predeceased by: his parents, Bertie Ora Overton (Gray) and John Wesley Overton, Sr.; his wife Ruby Overton; and his siblings, Rayford "Ray" Overton, Thomas Jefferson Overton and Ora Morine McNutt.
He is survived by: his daughter Lovey Smith (Mike) of McAlester; his granddaughters, April Bartley (Rusty) of Keller and Jennifer Mielke (Chris) of Edmond; his great grandchildren, Brittaney Bartley, Aiden Bartley, Landen Bartley, Mya Mielke and Maddox Mielke; his siblings, John Overton (Lauretta) of Scipio, Greta Colvin (Dwayne) of Shawnee, Norma Dessem (Bryant) of Gold River and Rose Shaw of Arpelar; and his sister-in-law Sue Overton. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.
