He was predeceased by: his parents, William Choate and Elsie Mae Choate; and his wife Blanche Josephine Wells. He is survived by: his son Tracy; his daughter-in-law Sandy Choate of McAlester; his grandson Trae Alan Choate; his stepchildren, Tammy Sloan and Eddie Sloan; his stepgrandson Jonathan Sloan; and his sister-in-law Betty Choate of Okemah.
