She was predeceased by : her parents, Eugene Downing and Gloria Reihl (Kennedy); and her sister Gloria Coffey. She is survived by : her husband Robert Pierson; her children, Sara Temple (Benjamin) of Miami, Brian Pierson (Jessica) of Georgia and Michael Pierson (Emily) of Norman; her siblings, Eugene Downing, Cathy Acton, Marion Tansey, Joan McGovern, Eileen Doty, Dianne Downing and Christine Downing; and her grandchildren, Mackenzie Temple, Conner Temple, Brayden Temple, Oliver Pierson and Theo Pierson.

A celebration of life was held on Thursday, February 25th 2021 at 2:00 PM at the First Christian Church (2424 N Main St, Miami, OK 74354).

In lieu of flowers the family has asked that memorial contributions to First Christian Church.
