He was predeceased by : his significant other Carolyn; and his son Tom Challis. He is survived by : his brother Grant Challis; his daughters, Sharon McCoy (Dan), Kathy Barrett (Bill) and Joyce Allison (Mark); and his grandchildren, Danielle Steele (Chris), William Barrett (Jo), Tommie Challis (Jessica), Michael Challis, Amanda Barrett, Tiffani Allison, Caryn O'Briant (Brandon) and Jake Turner. He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
