He was predeceased by : his parents, Lois Edna Walford and William Martin Russell of Lafayette Township; his wife Joan Ballinger of Daleville; and his daughters, Linda and Kathy Marleen.

He is survived by : his grandchildren, Kathy Brown Blackwell, Robert Blackwell and Lonnie "Joe" Brown (Phyllis); and his great grandchildren, Ryan, Corey, Leigha Blackwell, Courtney Kent and Joseph Brown.
